In our last year of predictions, we successfully predicted the winners of 18 out of 24 of the categories correctly. But in a year of divisiveness and instability at the Academy and for Hollywood as a whole, will we be able to make sense of the mayhem and match our last year’s totals?
For each of the award categories, we provide a brief description of the nominees and our prediction. And for the very first time, we also choose our own nominees and recognize films that have made an impression on ourselves during the past year in these designated categories.
